Create image as a png with the trans level you want, when import into SkinStudio it will convert it to the tga file that is needed. Then make sure that Transparent and Translucent are checked. On some parts these check boxes are not active, click the code tab and add Trans=1 and PerPixel=1 to the code for that parts section.

Also in the "painting Options" section make sure perpixel is being used..sometimes this option has to be checked (forced) .....and sometimes "background Effect' has to be turned on as well..(not sure why)

In SkinStudio, Explorer tree, select Start Panel, on left, section tab, Hide Panel shadows, set it to enabled.
