Ive seen people make themes where in the start panel, the items (i.e. my documents, firefox, etc) were a custom image, not a blue color. how do i do this? thanks

ok. one more question (not related) i made this custom start menu, saved them as a PNG, and SS puts these white lines on all the sides i cant get rid of. do u know how?

Check your transparency settings in Skinstudio for the images. The settings are not correct for a .png (.tga).

Make sure that you have the checkboxes for transparency and translucency checked in SKS or else it will be treated like a non-trans image.

i did that. i also set the transparenty thingy to PER PIXEL ALPHA. did i do something wrong to something more i need to do?

not that I can think of unless your not saving your PNG's correctly.

Margins might be out of place. Pumakitten has a great set of tuts here.

Think I read something about the margins leaving white lines. Wish I could help you more but I am still trying to make a skin myself. Good luck.

jesus.......try also looking in 'painting options' and make sure perpixel is set to 1 not 0. check the Background Effect and set that to 1 also.
Also click on STartPanel and enable hide shadows.......
hope that helps....

what i did was edit the file with xp paint and filled in the wite with magic pink! then make sure that you do what vstyler said in reply#5
